The Reverend Ryan Douglas Newman has enjoyed 23 years of professional ministry experience serving in both Episcopal churches and schools—the past 16 years in ordained ministry. His extensive leadership experience in Episcopal churches and schools is further complemented by a long tenure as an Executive Director of an innovative non-profit organization.
The defining aspect of Ryan’s call, as both a priest and educator, has been his service and leadership to Episcopal communities and organizations amid periods of growth and change. Throughout his career, he has been both an architect and a builder of groups, communities, programs, strategic visions, and even physical spaces. During professional career, Ryan has served as a rector, head of school, senior administrator, non-profit executive director, teacher, coach, hospital chaplain, pastor, and consultant.
Ryan and his wife, Erin Gregg Newman, live in Kapa‘a, Hawai‘i on the island of Kaua‘i with their pound puppies, Lucy and Olivia. In August 2018, the Newmans will welcome a baby girl to their family.
